January 2007 Dear board members and friends for LFS, I want to tell you that I came back from my three-month trip to Africa; and would like to thank you all for your prayers through out my entire travel. I was able to meet with my family members and relatives for the first time in eighteen years which includes my five years stay in the USA. It is a very exciting opportunity to be here in the States but it was another happy time after returning back to my country where I met my father, brother and two sisters. I wished Dennis Sasseville or any other board member could have accompanied me on this trip to document my reunion with family and relatives. When I arrived in Kampala, Uganda, I felt a little bit like I was still in the city but, after stepping into Sudan, I found a very extreme heat from the sun and dry land. I felt sick five times but your prayers were heard by God in Heaven, and I recovered each time. There were no good medical centers where I went to but got some medicine from a small hut pharmacy in Baidit shopping centre to treat diarrhea and disturbing fever and headache. I had trouble adjusting to the foods and water people drank in the village plus weather changes from what I left behind here in New Hampshire. I was able to do an assessment for local schools at Magal Village and assist them in a small way. I’m very thankful to those who have volunteered themselves to work for Life for Sudan and thank you for everything you are doing to keep up with your open heart. Funds were sent to me by Dennis Sasseville which helped me to buy some school supplies and brick making tools to Magal Village. Thanks goes out to those who contributed to support that effort. My dear friends, thank you all for your prayers and to our great God that I came back safely. To our friends and new friends please continue to support an effort of rebuilding schools in the Magal Village. God will bless you and your families for every little thing you do to assist those who are in need. God bless you all and thank you for your great prayers during my trip. Yours faithful, Peter Nhiany
